It seems a humorous question when nobody is thinking about even 100cc bike. But this is the only option to match with present condition of traffic. In terms of commuting, we are back in past ages. It takes 2 hrs from new delhi to hyderabad but takes a bit more to commute between office and home sometimes. Now It's time for automobile companies to concentrate on minimum speed rather than maximum speed.
The best argument to defend ourselves is that we are more in numbers. There are some factors which are making the condition worse.
Nobody follows rules.:
Others are not following the rules, why should i follow?? hold on..do i know rules?? See, It's very impractical for one to follow the rules when others are not following. But someone from us has to start. Some NGO should come forward to have a real-time project, a detailed analysis of scenario and how should the message to be marketed. Of course we also have to make our efforts to keep the message spreading.
Lack of Public Transport:
There is lack of public transport in every big city. Everybody is switching from public transport to private one. This definitely increases congestion. Local train route is not well connected. You can't even think of travelling in a bus in week days. Most of the state transport corporation are in loss. That's why they don't want to run more buses. They should run some special buses, charge more there. That's how they can recover their loss and increase the number of buses as well.
Increasing use of four wheelers:
I think, more than half of traffic is because of private four wheelers. Definitely it's our right to drive anything we wish. At the same time we should understand our responsibility towards society. If we have four wheeler, we can have a two wheeler also. And use four wheeler only when it is necessary. It can decrease the traffic by a significant amount.
